Oh gosh I hate rollercoasters and fast water slides and all the other scary stuff you did - absolute awe at what you took on to give your Grandsons a wonderful experience π₯
I know, I know, I knowβ¦I totally hate them too. It really wasnβt an exaggeration to say I was dreading it and asked myself constantly what I was thinking when I booked it all!!! but honestly, once we were there I just got carried along by their excitement - and they really did try to take care of me (that was the best bit!)
Oh wow, total respect for taking on that trip! It sounds like the boys had a wonderful time and you probably need another break to recover! We live in DK and survived Legoland and another of the Lalandia locations just once during their childhoods. That was most definitely enough. π
Wow - Canβt believe you live there and havenβt been persuaded to go back! I hadnβt realised how tired I was until I tried to write my Substack as usual at about 6:00pm last night and woke up at 6:00am this morning with my computer on my chest! But it really was worth it.
Having just had the day with my nearly 8 year old grandson, riding a mini version of mountain-biking, I relate to your exhaustion, but am blown away by not just your energy and attitude, but also the nature of your wonderful grandsons.
My chap would have been green with envy at both the waterpark and Legoland. And yes, putting Lego together creatively is damned hard. I remember the excitement I felt when I built a plain old square house!
Indeed - here's to all of us Supergrans - moutain biking and roller coastering are all very well, but the really 'super' part that we do is loving them like no one else in the world can. And letting them know it. Ps. My grandkids also have various SuperAunts as well - who love them in the same way and let them know it. So much to be grateful for. (A bit sentimental but feeling it right now).
You more than fill the role of Super Bubba Jenny! ππ«ΆβοΈ
Well, i have to admit to enjoying the memories a tiny bit more than I enjoyed the moment! Now we are all back in one piece.

Adorable! I would have needed a stiff drink at the end of each day!
I was soooo tempted. But I didn't drink at all when I was there! Felt like the wrong thing to do. Save it up for my return!

Wow, you definitely needed that good night's sleep! π
What a fabulous telling!

Sentimentality is the sign of a compassionate and loving person, I think...
I'll take that!
Awe-inspiring!
A lot of awe certainly!
